Good room and breakfast, rest...

Liked: Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Outside the room was in need of a good clean up. Car parking was outrageous at £6 on the hotel site. There is no mention of the parking fee on Booking.com website.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: Good location for centre
Disliked: We booked an executive double room but we’re allocated a small twin. When we complained we were transferred to a small double and told there were no more executive doubles left and it must have been an error transferring the information from booking.com. We were offered free breakfast instead and also free parking. Hardly compensation. Also, I wouldn’t expect to pay for parking anyway. TV could not receive terrestrial channels.

Did not match expectations unfortunately.

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Good choice. Staff friendly. Location good.
Disliked: Worst view from a hotel room ever! Room dark as a result. Disappointing leisure facilities which did not match expectations. Hotel overall bit dated and would benefit from upgrading generally.

Lovely staff, not great hotel.

Liked: The staff here are very friendly, and the room was nicely appointed, with comfy furnishing. The location is very central without being too near to the bars etc so noise is minimum, and its a very walkable neighborhood.
Disliked: The shared facilities eg reception area are in significant need of an upgrade. Also, a couple of nitpicks purely based on the price of a night's stay and the fact this is a three star hotel: There was no conditioner in the room bathroom — I had expected that I would not need to bring my own conditioner, and while the staff were apologetic and nice about it, they did not provide any. Please advertise that you don't provide for future guests. Also, they make you pay to park your car in the hotel carpark, despite being a paying guest. Also, the pool — a draw for us — was actually used for kids' swimming lessons. Not the staff's fault, but again, advertise these things for future guests so they can make a more conscious choice.
