Situated on a private estate a short walk from the center of town the Craiglynne Hotel offers a warm friendly atmosphere with open fires in both the lounge and bar. Guest rooms are decorated in a charming traditional Victorian way. They feature tea/coffee making facilities and there are free toiletries in the private bathrooms. The restaurant serves Scottish dishes and breakfast afternoon tea and snacks can be taken in the bar sun room restaurant or outside. In summer guests can enjoy the sun room which has views of the hotel's gardens. In winter roaring log fires provide a cozy atmosphere. Good value pleasant stay in...

Liked: Very comfortable night in spacious, quiet, room with all necessary facilities. Clean, comfortable bed and nice view. Good to find decent accommodation at reasonable price for single occupancy. Outstandingly good breakfast.
Disliked: Grouting in shower and radiator control in need of some improvement. Nice furniture a little in need of TLC also. General decorative upgrading could make this quite grand.

Really good, we met other...

Liked: Great value for money. Comfortable clean rooms, great breakfast, good atmosphere around the hotel. All staff friendly and helpful.
Disliked: It’s an old period property which has been well maintained. The sofas in lounge are were v.tired and not at all comfortable to sit on.

Good

Liked: Lovely location, easy for dog walks. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was good.
Disliked: Rooms a little tired and dated. No wifi in the bedroom.

Enjoyable, relaxing, comfortable

Disliked: When on booking in cause theirs a lack of staff as a lot of places their was a bit of a wait for a member of staff to book in, when booked in they had lost the key for our room but the room was open and couldn’t go out until they found the key

Ok for the price lovely...

Liked: Beautiful setting and staff were lovely
Disliked: Dated , quite dirty in areas like the bathroom bedroom one pillow was disgusting. Don’t be fooled by the pictures on this website.Breakfast very basic and at times somethings not available.

Get what you pay for

Liked: Good value for money and bed was comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful.
Disliked: The room needs to be updated. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the walls needed to be painted but it was clean. They couldn’t find our room key so we were waiting for a while but let us into the room and bought it up to us when they found it.
