Esater in Pitlochry

Liked: John, the host, was most helpful and amenable, what a nice guy!. The location was good, only a 10 min walk to the edge of town. It was lovely and quiet, just what you need for a break. Lovely views.
Disliked: We had two rooms. It was a little pricey and the double room was a bit snug although the king size room was a good size.

Liked: Loved the location and the room was beautiful very clean.
Disliked: We didn’t get breakfast on the Tuesday morning as the chef didn’t want to cook anymore hot food as their was some sort of issue going on with the owner and shortly after the owner left the premises. So we didn’t get breakfast which was meant to be included in the price, on the Wednesday we didn’t even try go down for breakfast as the first incident made us a little anxious as their was obviously a dispute between them behind closed doors, so ultimately we paid for 2 breakfasts to be included and didn’t have neither.

An ok stay

Liked: A good location of a once very good large bb. We were met by the owner who seemed surprised to see us at 3 pm and whilst checking us in the owner had to take a call. There was a mix up with the bookings so we did not get the room we booked months ago. Heating not on in room on arrival despite it being cold. Room large but some tlc needed to attend to chipped paintwork etc. shower pitiful in terms of flow and temperature. Breakfast very good despite having to book a slot that came in twos only so if the early slot had gone you could not have breakfast. Parking is available but all must be parked on a slant to fit all in. With some attention to detail this could be great but at present it’s ok and expensive
