Idyllic Retreat: A Perfect Blend...

Liked: Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfection! Nestled near the village amidst stunning grounds by the river, the location couldn't have been better. We enjoyed fantastic walks, including a breathtaking gorge just 10 minutes away. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely bed and bath. But what truly impressed us was the dining experience. Both breakfast and dinner were superb, with dinner reaching Michelin quality standards.Overall, an unforgettable stay. Perfect location, impeccable service, comfortable rooms, and outstanding dining options. We can't wait to return!
Disliked: TV in room was a bit small and unable to change angle for better viewing position.

Great Overnight stay in betws...

Liked: Character hotel with a beautiful view down the valley along side a river .Staff were very engaging and helpful and just a short walk into town . The hotel bar was great and they had a terrace to sit out on a clear day .The room was well appointed and the bed was large and very comfortable. A huge balcony which would be great in the summer .

will only return for the...

Liked: The receptionist lady is lovely and very professional. The Riverview from the room is spectacular.
Disliked: The restaurant is horrible. takes time for having menus, taking orders and receiving order. for dinners ,starters are good and I can see the chef is trying. but the mains are horrible, poor beef and chewy lamb. We ordered additional main, a veg option, aubergine dish, it is £40 for that dish with half aubergine and some other vegetable in it. Think about it if this happens to you. How would you like to rate this restaurant. The breakfast order was taking in wrong as we ordered fried egg but severed with scrambled egg. It took us more time to place the correct order and waited more than 15 minutes for a fried egg. my friend said the egg Benedict in the other morning was fine. Bed mattress is old and collapse in the middle as our super king is a two single been put together. One of the most weird thing happened, room TV turned on automatically at 3am in the morning with BBC News. I was awaken with shock, thought world war 3 began! Guess it was signal issue.
