Liked: The location is great. The staff is nice.
Disliked: The floors were scummy and sticky. The room did not have a pleasant smell. The building is falling apart. We spent only one night, as we could not stay due to the state of the property.

Hope someone finds a way...

Liked: Staff is amazing. The accommodations are basic but very clean and comfortable. The location and ambiance are FAB and the hotel has so much great history and personality. Love having the beach right there and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a charming beach town just a few steps away.
Disliked: I was disappointed the spa jets weren't working in the pool.

Paradise on the beach

Liked: It was on the beach. Old Florida at its finest. Pool/spa was warm and relaxing. The property was picturesque with palm trees, amazing views, open airways, outdoor seating area with beautiful wrought iron table and chairs.
Disliked: I didn’t like that I didn’t book more nights! Loved the property!

Superb

Liked: I liked our beachfront balcony room and staff....Everyone was so nice and helpful and the view of the ocean from our balcony was beautiful. I wld definitely go back!!!

Terrible

Liked: The beach was nice and good location. Walking distance to everything.
Disliked: When we got to the room, we pulled back the sheets and found live ants. The window a/c was so loud, it sounded like an airplane. They moved us to another room for 2 nights, but we had to go back to the original room our last night. The room was falling apart. Filthy couch and drapes, vertical blinds missing, laminate coming down under the kitchen cabinets.Also, the small pool/hot tub was closed by the Health Department during our stay.

Liked: Ms. V was absolutely amazing! This place is a charming hidden gem that you simply have to experience. With fabulous beach access and spacious rooms, it’s a refreshing escape from the typical corporate hotels. And let’s not forget the stunning beach lounging area—it's the perfect spot to soak up the sun and relax!
