Courtyard by Marriott Rochester Downtown

Lovely hotel and room. Great location. Would definitely book a room at this hotel again!

Liked: Beautiful, large sized room and bathroom.

Comfortable for those without respiratory...

Liked: The rooms are very comfortable, with nice modern furnishings and a spacious bathroom. Our room had a pull-out bed that was comfortable as well. The bistro serves tasty breakfast and dinner options when you don’t wish to leave the hotel. Hygiene was top-notch and the staff friendly.
Disliked: Despite the hotel claiming to be smoke-free, lack of enforcement sadly detracted from the enjoyment of our stay there. Either through the vents, or perhaps from the hallway, our room was overwhelmed by secondhand marihuana smoke of -we assume- other guests. We were given quite a fright as my chemo-recovering mother woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air, the air quality had turned THAT bad. Prospective guests, especially those with respiratory issues, should beware of the health risk. In our experience the only thing that helped was keeping the A/C fan on full blast. After calling the reception, a staff member came by to spray down the halls with copious amounts of interior perfume to mask the smell.
