Charlotte, Smithville, visiting Centre In The Square
We had no coffee cups in room. We requested them but they never arrived. Water glasses in room were dirty and one was broken. Microwave did not work. Disappointed there was no continental breakfast - we were there January 22nd, 2014.

Will definitely be back
Liked: Didn't eat at the hotel. However, I had booked for Friday night but due to unforeseen circumstances I had to chance to Saturday night, The chance was very easy and no hassle or issues making the change ..very PLEASED with that. Hotel bartender was exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing comes to mind

Clean , comfortable and convenient
Liked: Convenient clean and comfortable location
Disliked: No Complimentary breakfast ….any hotel /bramd I’ve been at over the past few years has included a good complimentary breakfast. For the price It vs comparable hotels and brands we have visited in southern Ontario that is pretty standard .

Unfortunately would not come back
Liked: The room was very clean. We had a room with a tub and fireplace which was at the corner of the building so had 2 nice windows, one of which faced the sun setting. We liked the layout of the room where the bed faced the window although it feels a bit odd having the back of the bed against the bathroom. We didn't want to have to go anywhere so it was very convenient having the restaurant there and the food was excellent. The jacuzzi tub was very clean. The selection of pillows was good, bed was very clean and invitingThe front staff was were very nice, both on the phone and in person.
Disliked: Being that it's winter, I paid the extra for the fireplace and decided to splurge and get the tub as well. The fireplace is on a timer so when you turn it on, you hear the timer clicking the whole time which isn't tolerable at all. The "wood" was layed out oddly and the "flame" was barely visible and what was visible was predominantly on one side and mostly blue. When I saw the robes layed out on the tub I thought that was a nice bonus but they were extremely stiff and scratchy. The jacuzzi tub was nice and big but the jets were unbelievably loud. I have sensory sensitivities but it was also way too loud for my husband. Unless we missed it, there really should be instructions somewhere with the buttons because the jets suddenly came on by themselves (I'm guessing there's a timer of some sort) and the sound was so loud it was hard to even think to be able to figure out which button to press. We don't even know how we eventually got them to go off, just kept frantically hitting buttons.Besides all that, which we could look past, the most disappointing thing was the bed. I don't know if it was just old or cheap but the mattress was so uncomfortable that we did not sleep well and both actually woke up with hip pain. Just to note, we don't have existing joint problems. The bedding itself was extremely lightweight and it almost felt like we just had a sheet on. Our sole purpose for being there was to get away from our household of kids and relax. We woke up just wanting to get home and left maybe an hour and a half before checkout time. The staff was definitely very nice but when I checked out I wasn't asked HOW everything was. She said she HOPED everything was good, which indicated to me that they may get complaints about those rooms.I really do hate saying this but I would not stay here again. Getting a good sleep is important and how you sleep is what makes or breaks your overall feeling when you leave.
