Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Norfolk

I would be very much inclined to stay again at the Courtyard Marriott Virginia Beach - lovely, comfortable room; very quiet facility; enthusiastic and welcoming staff!

Liked: Very quiet! The most quiet hotel in which I have ever stayed. Well decorated and furnished room, with lovely fixtures and finishes. Bed very comfortable. The persons serving in the Bistro were so pleasant, warm, and friendly - plus the food was delicious and very reasonably priced.
Disliked: The shower head in my bath could not be adjusted down or the type of stream changed - it was very vigorous and because I am short, it nearly hit me in the face!

Liked: The rooms were clean and the front desk reception was fantastic. When we checked in the gentleman gave us directions to our venue and was so positive.

Would be good if it...

Liked: Room was nice
Disliked: No notification of ongoing renovations. Half of the doors didn't work, our room didn't have a number, ac in stairwells and hallways didn't work. Actively looked like a work site and did not look like the images on the website. None of the mentioned amenities were available due to renovation.

Bad

Disliked: Could use some cleaning

Passable

Liked: It was not too far from the beach
Disliked: The television did not work and it never got fixed.

Exceptional

Great experience!

Liked: Wonderful staff. Everyone was very pleasant and made check in and check out a smooth process. The manager was extremely helpful when we realized we had to check out early. I’m sorry appreciative for his support!
Disliked: It’s currently under construction/renovation so there wasn’t any food area available in the lobby. But I’m sure once construction is complete, it’ll be even more fantastic

Disappointing

Liked: Was not told about all the construction and maintenance. Did not have access to the breakfast bar or anything of the nature

Comfortable rooms & beds…..a lot...

Liked: Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.
Disliked: No phone to dial front desk, no staff, no security, none of the doors work with hotel card given, you had to walk completely around the building to get inside the hotel anytime you left just to get back to your room, elevators didn’t work, it advertised a weight room which is untrue a lot of construction going on a lot of miscellaneous tool left on walking paths which creates a big hazard I tripped a few times thankfully I didn’t not fall. Would not recommend for an elderly couple or anyone with physical disabilities or issues walking. You will do alooooottttt of walking at this hotel. It is easy to get robbed or assaulted that this hotel a lot of safety issues and dark corners. Creepy at night.
