Courtyard by Marriott Scottsdale Salt River

Overall an excellent experience

Liked: Beautiful property, great location, thoughtful activities planned each week, comfortable community lounges, workout room, pool.
Disliked: A/c blowing directly onto the bed and it was noisy

Liked: Front desk very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable
Disliked: Payment for parking

Superb

Clean, quiet and convenient!

Liked: Breakfast was just okay. It was not busy but the person at the counter was behind on things. Food was fine.
Disliked: I’d prefer a nicer breakfast spot not counter service. It doesn’t need to be fancy but better than Starbucks. Also, paying for parking in an area that is NOT in a city is absurd! Plenty of space in the lot. This is just a cash grab by Marriott.

Disliked: They charge a parking fee. they are not a resort. They offer nothing extra. Very disappointing. I will no longer stay at that hotel when visiting Phoenix.

COURTYARD MARRIOTT SALT RIVER STAY

Liked: The staff was very friendly. The room was good and was clean, but I would update the faucets. I didn't like where they put the fridge, and it was very tiny. We didn't spend much time in our room since we were just using it for a place to sleep. We were visiting family and were gone most of the time. Normally we stay with family but this time it wasn't possible. We own timeshare with Wyndham and Disney, so I am a bit of a resort snob, but this place was fine as far as hotels go.
Disliked: There was road construction going on and I didn't like the 8 dollar parking fee. I didn't like that there wasn't a breakfast buffet. We stayed next door at the Marriott Residence Inn for one night, and they offered a full breakfast buffet. The Marriot Courtyard had a nice Bistro and that was nice but very pricey. They serve Starbucks, but it is brewed differently. It's very weak. I will say, the Bistro staff were very friendly and I appreciated that.

I will definitely stay there...

Liked: I asked staff for a room away from elevator and the pool. My room was amazingly quiet. I had the best sleep!
Disliked: Needs better coffee in the room
