Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Northwest/Short Pump

Well, to start, I had made a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds. I had the print out of the reservation confirmation to prove it and when I arrived I was told there were only rooms with one king bed. Then, when we attempted to get an Acai bowl for breakfast, the staff was unsure how to make it and it was quite melted and disappointing once we got it. Finally, we are Marriott Rewards members and when I asked for a late checkout (just one additional hour), I was grumbled at by the front desk lady.

Liked: Convenience to main roads and restaurants.
Disliked: Reservation was not as selected. Breakfast items not well made. Sunday a.m. front desk staff member was not very nice.

Disliked: Room was newly remodeled and construction and carpet smell was too much for my wife to sleep in so we had to get another room in the middle of the night.

Disliked: At checkin my card was charged $160 for a room total with tax other fees $138 and was told at checkout would release the extra dollars after checkout, however it doesn't show on my receipt and my charge is not pending🤷
