The room was not available

Disliked: There was nothing to like. When we arrived we learned that there was no power in the lobby following a storm. There was power in the rooms but we could not be checked in. The clerk said it would be up to the manager to decide if we would get a refund. I emailed booking.com 6 days ago about a refund, but have not heard anything. I best not be charged. The room should never have been available.

Pricey for the comfort

Liked: The location is great! The employee working at the coffee bar in the morning was super nice!
Disliked: The hotel was doing renovations and it was dusty. The beds and pillows were soft and uncomfortable.

Disliked: Other guest were slamming doors at all hours even in the middle of the night. I had requested late check out when I booked. they were unable to provide. Hot tub was closed and that’s the main reason we booked

Disliked: Parking was minimal and the bed and furniture were stained and not in great shape.

The difference between accessible rooms...

Liked: The roll in shower in the handicap accessible room.
Disliked: I was traveling with a friend and reserved the handicap accessible room with a shower specifically. When the desk clerk saw us she just changed our room to two beds with a tub. I am not physically able to get in a tub. My friend asked them to verify we would be in the room with the shower. That's when she fessed up about trying to change our room. Customers expect to have the room they reserved. Every disabled person is not the same and they know their own capabilities and they reserved the specific room according to their individual needs.

Liked: The location is so convenient, right off the highway, but you could not hear traffic from the room. All front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean with plenty of towels provided.

Liked: Located near the Portland airport, and only 10 minutes away from the lobster restaurants in downtown Portland. We stayed here because it was the cheapest lodging that met our search criteria for an overnight stay. If you're visiting Portland, ME for an overnight stay during your road trip, this is the place to book.
