Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park

Hotel has a great location within walking distance to many sights, restaurants and theaters. They have a delicious breakfast and helpful, friendly staff.

Liked: The front desk registration staff were friendly and very service oriented. One person who stands out is Kim. She insured we were being taken care of.
Disliked: Housekeeping services. I requested fresh towels, etc. in the morning prior to leaving the hotel for the day. At 3:30 pm when I returned there were still no clean towels etc.

Perfect for a business or...

Liked: The location was perfect to get to the office, very near Central Park, and not far from the theatre district. There are plenty of options for places to eat around the hotel and the small fridge in the hotel room was great for storing snacks and drinks. The staff were uniformly pleasant and professional. The room was large for New York and temperature control was easy and effective. The wait for the elevators was never very long, which is great when there are so many floors!
Disliked: There was a lot of construction taking place so at times the noise level in the downstairs foyer in particular was very loud. The TV in my room did not work and could not be repaired but I was suitably compensated with free breakfast, which suited me fine, rather than attempting to change rooms during a very busy time in the hotel. I would love a wardrobe space that allowed for long dresses and trousers to be hung up and not drag on the floor. I ended up hanging my longer items on the door of the wardrobe.

Liked: Everything worked fine except the shower which leaked water to the bathroom floor.
Disliked: Leakage of water from the shower onto the bathroom floor. .

4 star hotel rating is...

Disliked: Giving this hotel 4 stars is wildly incorrect and misleading. I stay at plenty of hotels every year to know this. Unmotivated staff, no one answers phone from room. No slippers, Asked for a higher floor, didn’t happen! Never experienced a “4 star” hotel staff to be so uninterested in their guests or their needs. Nosy drilling next to hotel. Breakfast with paper plates! Feels like some food bank setting people lining up with paper plates for buffet breakfast. I don’t think I have ever tasted worst chicken sausage! Burnt terribly.
