Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park

Hotel has a great location within walking distance to many sights, restaurants and theaters. They have a delicious breakfast and helpful, friendly staff.

Liked: The front desk registration staff were friendly and very service oriented. One person who stands out is Kim. She insured we were being taken care of.
Disliked: Housekeeping services. I requested fresh towels, etc. in the morning prior to leaving the hotel for the day. At 3:30 pm when I returned there were still no clean towels etc.

Liked: Only saving grace was the location.
Disliked: The rooms were bland and uninspiring, and for two days the lobby reeked of sewage. Breakfast was served entirely with disposable items—plastic cutlery, paper plates, the works—which felt cheap and wasteful. Waiting for the elevator took forever. Most of the staff seemed indifferent, with only a few exceptions who were actually helpful. Wouldn’t return unless I absolutely had to. Booking.com was unhelpful and the listing was misleading.

Nice hotel in near Central...

Liked: Well situated to explore North Manhattan.Hotel location is close to Central Park and Broadway theaters. Subway station on 7th ave only 1 block away. Restaurants nearby and Times Square is within walking distance.Nice view over the city from 18th floorFriendly staff.
Disliked: Breakfast variety is poorThere was only limited room available for the set-up which lead to a rather chaotic situation of people running across each ocher while serving themselves.Additionally the plates, cups spoons, forks and knives used at breakfast are "single use" items made of plastic. Common use in USA but not what I expect at Marriott and for sure not very ecologic.Room is rather small but common for NYC

Great for a short break...

Liked: Great location to be able to travel all around New York. Located between Times Square and Central Park. Short walk to good train connections.Lots of nice little bars and restaurants.
