Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village

Very good

Liked: Only down side was the property doesn’t have a restaurant or free breakfast. They have a “bistro” that didn’t have much and I wouldn’t call it a restaurant.

Great stay for 1 or...

Liked: > The hotel comes with a pool and is beside a river> Massive room with plenty of space for you things and artistically folded towels (bear, swan)> Bed was comfortable and I slept well despite the loud thunder & rain, in a way it added positively to the experience > Steakhouse Saltgrass was amazing and it is literally next door
Disliked: > Location was near the highway and there was nothing in immediate proximity to the hotel, except one Steakhouse> The room did not have a safe and the decor is quite dated> There is a Starbucks coffee machine inside the hotel but it was broken> Car is recommended but you can also get easily around using Uber

Disliked: There was no free breakfast you had to pay for it So we went somewhere else

Disliked: Breakfast was a joke, why stated in my stay free breakfast but wanna charge me.

Liked: Some good offerings, but a bit pricey.
Disliked: More choices for dinner. Location of the new restaurant Salt Grass is good. However, they could make a special arrangement for guests of the Marriott to have some priority access to Salt Grass since it was constantly crowded and had long wait lines.The alternative restaurants are mostly downtown OR across the freeway. Sometimes guests do not want to drive anywhere to eat after a day of conferences and meetings.... or after a company happy hour.

This was our second stay....

Liked: It’s on the beautiful Guadalupe River. The grounds are large with outdoor activities for the kids.
