Courtyard by Marriott Myrtle Beach Broadway

I was very disappointed they did not have the room I reserved. They told me I should call ahead to make sure they have the right room each time I book. At this point I would have a hard time finding a room if they did not have one. I love coffee and sunrise on the porch. I guess I will have to find another hotel near Broadway. The people were nice but I will not stay again.

Disliked: Reserved a room and they didn't have it so they upgraded me to a room with no balcony and one bed. I needed two beds.

Disappointing

Good Hotel but bad business...

Liked: Didn't try breakfast because we didn't see a complimentary breakfast. Only a bistro that charged for breakfast. But view and location was good
Disliked: Didn't like the fact that the bathroom had no ventilation vents that worked. Also after a long drive and a good time hanging out till 1:00 am, we was awaken in panic due to a fire alarm system going off in the hotel around 2:30or 3am. Jumping out of bed scrambling for clothes and had to be evacuated outside for at least 25 to 30 minutes. After returning to the room I couldn't sleep anymore and had to drive 3.5 hours home the next morning. Upon checking out and asking the front desk what happened , they laughed and said it was a water leak. No discount was offered for that inconvenience like most hotels will offer, or no other accommodations was offered .

Disliked: the fire alarm went off Friday morning. We were told this was due to the water pressure in the sprinkler system being low - which seems bad.

Good place to stay if...

Liked: The staff at this location were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and friendly!
Disliked: The location proximity to the beach!
