Courtyard by Marriott Memphis Airport

My sister and I were in Memphis for a concert. By the time we got to our room it was very late, or rather, early in the a.m., and instead of two double beds, as paid for, there was one queen. We were too tired at that point to even call the front desk. Also, apparently because I booked after a search on ConcertHotels.com, Marriott will not give me points even though I'm pretty sure I paid full price, and if it was a wholesale rate, as they claim, it was not transparent. So, be aware of that. We also laughed about the "security gate." There is one going in, but the other is apparently open 24-7.

Liked: Staff was friendly.
Disliked: Given wrong room type.

Only reason to stay there...

Liked: Close to airport
Disliked: Expensive for what you get. No breakfast. Checked us into a room that hasn’t been cleaned or bed made.

Liked: I liked the proximity to the airport and the airport shuttle that runs every thirty minutes. The room was cozy and comfortable and had everything that you needed.

Liked: The rooms were very clean. Beds are comfy. and it was quite inside the rooms, no hallway noise
Disliked: The walk to the elevator from the lobby. But once we checked in and were instructed to park inside the gated area made us closer to the elevator which was nice but then no access to the luggage dollys!

Cold, Sticky Night

Liked: I like the fact the room had a balcony and the size of the room was really nice.
Disliked: So the bed had a plastic mattress cover on it to prevent bed bugs, but it caused me and my husband to sweat and stick to the bed. We had the a.c. on and the room was cold, but it didn't prevent us from sticking to the bed, which caused us to have a restless night. I would Highly suggest some better sheets for the bed. Overall, the room was NOT worth $180.
