This hotel is Kailua Kona...

Liked: Very chilled and friendly staff. Rules very lightly applied. Bizy atmosphere. Hotel is kind of a museum to King Kamehameha and the bay is both sacred and historical as well as bizzy and relevant- every day the outrigger clubs take out their canoes, people walk by … this is just the nicest and friendliest hotels we have stayed at. Live music by the pool every evening. Pool open til 10pm. Played a got game of tennis too!! A delight!

Disliked: When we check in the hotel on 11 July, reception did not mention that we need to inform them for daily housekeeping service. Otherwise no daily HK service. On 12 July afternoon, the front desk receiption rejected my husband's request of arranging a HK to move the rubbish for our room. I have to come down to FO, and fight for it. And then FO called HK to take the rubbish.On 13 and 14 July, we have to keep repeating our request of the daily HK cleaning to FO. and did not see any service done till we came back after the whole day tour. FO Team is not helping at all. They just said NO to us without calling HK or talk to HK team.F&B bar staff are very friendly and work very efficient.

It was a great weekend...

Liked: The oceanfront view, the little beach, Good local vibe,
Disliked: The bathroom fan was a terrible, noisy thing that I couldn't turn off! Had to finally get engineering to shut it off. On Saturday night August 3 the loud music coming from the Luau grounds was very undesirable Christian music that was poorly done in bad taste. I found it very offensive and could not use my balcony from 5-10 p.m. I didn't like the fact that on a Sunday morning I didn't have the option to have a nice breakfast at the property without having to pay for a High priced buffet. I had to leave the property and go look for a place to have breakfast.

Liked: It not a new hotel but the beds pillows and ac are great. The people were also super nice. I would and will return . Loved it
Disliked: I think of anything i didn't like and am a picky person about hotels. It just nice and good service
