Liked: I had a nice dinner in the lounge bar after a pre dinner drink on the lovely terrace at The View.Throughout my stay I was treated kindly and courteously by all staff, which, as a solo female traveller, was highly appreciated.

Disliked: The house keeping didn’t clean the room well the sheets of the bed didn’t change during my stay for five nights

Liked: Spacious rooms. Adjoining room options. Close to motorway. Rooftop bar is very smart.
Disliked: Very corporate, good for 1/2 night stop over. Not a lot in walking distance.

Exceptional

Liked: Room was clean and very spacious, everything we needed was there. Hairdryer, usb charging points, beautiful towels, shampoo and body wash. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. It was our first stay at the Courtyard and would thoroughly recommend it to others touring Devon or meeting up friends and family.

Liked: Everything was fantastic, staff were super friendly and helpful. The gym is great, well equipped with nice touches like towels and a cold water machine. The room was excellent, bed was huge and so comfortable. Really enjoyed that there was a free still and sparkling water station in the downstairs bar. I didn’t have breakfast, but there was a fridge in my room which was big, I brought my own bits from home to store in there :)
Disliked: My only negative was the glass ‘wall’ in the bathroom. From the bedroom you can see everything. I was travelling solo, but I just can’t understand why anyone would want to see into the bathroom and have a pretty decent view of their partner or family member on the toilet/in the shower? The wall is opaque but you can still see silhouettes perfectly. It also allows all the light from the bathroom into the bedroom. Had I been travelling with someone I imagine this would have been quite obtrusive should they have wanted to sleep whilst I was using the shower. Only mentioning should it be a factor that would deter one from booking.
