my stay was comfortable for...
Liked: location
Disliked: room service was interesting. arrived with many boxes. maybe if they use trays it would be easier to accept at the door instead of juggling boxes and signing.

Pleasant
Disliked: Main disappointment was the cleanliness of the room. Hair all over bed & on the side tables.

Unless its an emergency or...
Liked: The one housekeeping women who was left short handed over the holidays works extremely hard and is accommodating to any concerns or requests. Thats about it.
Disliked: It is what it is, but I am not getting where they are charging rates similar to world class hotels or boutique hotels. $270 a NIGHT ...without even Full access to food/the restaurant..... when that price is usually when the Room Service and Restaurant are available. Didn't care .. just a " too bad so sad " type of response. They did not disclose this anywhere when booking, then they justify that it's fine to tell people on arrival ( the next day I found out they were suppose to tell me this when I checked in) absolutely did not. Didn't even offer me complimentary anything for NOT telling me or the inconvenience. Just that I could go to the residence side and pay for a buffet and I needed a voucher. Had the audacity to speak to me like " it is NewYears day so its closed " I KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS?? lol .... oh my.. who speaks to someone like that. As we found out I wasn't told at check in, so take it easy on the guest for your own issues please. I worked in hospitality when I was younger and many times - especially hotels - that does not apply and they staff accordingly. Marriott South does not. And it was like I was the problem for expecting that? Weird approach to guest services. This literally is dorm style hotel, and dirty carpets - I will never understand carpets in an elevator in Canadian Winters. Or in general ... so gross. The couch in the Room is awkward and doesn't fit at all. Room was smaller than I thought. It is wild to Imagine that Marriott OWNS "THE W Mina Seyahi" and other W locations - the decor and style is phenomenal at most of them and yet they can let this go on at the others? You have to ask for water even if it is complimentary.... they didn't put it in my room. There are weird foam things they use as a "headboard" Sheets were very questionable if clean so thankfully the housekeeping was incredible to help with that.

Unless its an emergency or prices reflect what it is - I won't be back

Not worth the high price.
Liked: The room size was nice as was the bathroom. Liked the modern look and the fact that the curtains closed all the way.
Disliked: There were crumbs in our bed, obviously, the sheets were not changed. The pillows were flat and every time you leaned against the wall, while on the bed, the lights would switch on.
