Superb

Liked: A warm welcome. Super room. Comfortable bed. A nice continental breakfast. Quiet night. Central location.
Disliked: It would have been nicer to have breakfast in the hotel rather than my room, but as I was leaving at 8.15, it worked for me and the hotel.

Very disappointed

Liked: Location
Disliked: I have been going to the County Hotel for over 20 years when I come to visit relatives. Its gone downhill, this time I had to ring a mobile number so that I could get someone to come to the door to register and get the key, the girl who answered the door said they were short staffed. Room was clean, refreshments renewed each day but not alot else was done. I didn't eat in the hotel, so I'm unable to say what that experience was like. On the day of leaving, again I couldnt get in to hand in the key, so I rang 2 mobile numbers that were on the tradesman door, and both went to voice mail. I left a message telling them that I wasn't impressed and that I would leave the key in the room.

Disappointing

Liked: Location
Disliked: Facility had limited evening menu choices, staff member working on her own. Was not open to the public. Second night, restaurant was closed so had to eat elsewhere. Breakfast was served from 8.00am, continental only, decided not to eat on site as time was prohibitive for our needs. Accommodation front door was constantly unlocked, other guests did not lock when entering or leaving. Two male guests were smoking weed outside front door and drinking, loud and intimidating for women. Reported to the member of staff. Overall, disappointing as this hotel has gone downhill since last visit pre COIVD. Such a shame as it was always so lively, food very good.

Liked: Breakfast was basic. Room was a good size. Evening meal was good.
Disliked: Would have been good to have been able to sit in a lounge for a drink rather than sitting in the bedroom.
