Disliked: The people that run this place are thieves and liars. Upon trying to check I the female at the front desk demanded $40 cash after I had already paid Booking.com for the room. I wasn't allowed to check in and was told they would refund my money, they did not! Do not stay here!!!

Liked: The beds were comfortable. The room was spacious. The TV was good.
Disliked: The remote did not work very well. There was nobody available when we checked in at 4:00 in the afternoon we had to actually call somebody. There were no wash clouds in the bathroom.

Disliked: The owner /manager requires a separate $10 cash fee (for website reservation) that is not disclosed in the booking and yet I could not cancel since Booking.com had a $62 cancellation fee. The ice machine and vending supplies are not working and the Spa/pool is not working(filles with algea) but not identified in the description

Liked: I like the hotel's location. To me the brand Countryside Suite Hotel meant Good all American hospitality. I will never go back that location ever again. Booking.com it is négligence on your behalf that you would have this fertility listed advertised on your site. After my bad experience there, I read the reviews posted by other victims. 98% were similar to what I had experienced. With reviews I these you should send a secret shopper guest to this hotel so that you can experience first hand what your members are saying about this place and remove this Hotel off your platform. In my opinion, these persons running Countryside Suite Hotel Independence in Kansas City are a bad fit for the Hospitality business and horrible representation of the Hotel's Brand name.
Disliked: I booked and paid for the room using Booking.com. upon arrival to check in I was asked to pay a $100 deposit. I offer to pay using Google pay or the same card from which I had used to make the reservation. The woman said that they didn't use the form of payment. Stating that she was rude would be and understatement. I couldn't believe that I was being talked to in such a manner. When I called her out on it she told me that she don't care about negative reviews. That It wasn't her problem that I didn't have $100 cash on me nor a 16 digit credit card to charge for the holding fee. She said, 'I own 20 Hotels I don't care.' She asked why did you park in the back of the property as if implying that my reason for being there was dishonorable...

Scary place….stay away!

Liked: AC in the room worked
Disliked: No maintenance- stair railings falling off the wall, front door had to be pulled open, no AC in lobby, bathroom door lock/handle was completely busted off, sink faucet leaked all over the counter
