Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Wilmington NC

This hotel is acceptable, as long as you don't look too closely. The place needs refurbishing, since it's showing a lot of wear and tear, probably from the constant stream of construction workers who stay there.

Liked: Sort of quiet. Hot breakfast.
Disliked: Sort of shabby, especially for the price. Pool closed. No water pressure and little flow in shower/tub.

Expected better from the Radisson...

Liked: Great breakfast, comfortable beds, large rooms, close to major shopping and restaurants but well off noisy highways.
Disliked: Uncontrolled guests in room above, dead roach in the bedroom (been there a while), torn lampshade in bedroom, furniture dated and needs repairs.

Bad

Liked: The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a good location which makes getting to Wilmington easily accessible.
Disliked: The hotel charged me for both my stay and another night/deposit - this was not explained to me and because I moved money frequently made me overdrawn. There was no apology offered for this, the deposit was supposed to be $50 but they took £157 and held it for around a week without explaining this to me. Incredibly inconsiderate and dangerous. The pool was out of order for the duration of our stay along with the water refill station.

Exceptional

Liked: Every thing was fine, Beds, Ac unit, Bath room, Price. Was the second time staying here. Will do it again in the future

Liked: I liked the bed
Disliked: - the breakfast -the shower -the fold out couch

Bargain location but daily service...

Disliked: We were informed at time of making reservation that hotel offered a swimming pool. That was a main reason for this booking, pool, location, breakfast and cleaning daily. However, pool has not been in service for a time, cleaning-daily was not available on Sunday. We checked out on Monday.

The night manager stating that...

Liked: My favorite part of my stay was listen to a very spirited couple of women in the parking lot playing tug of war with a purse while the heavy set female screams THATS MY GODDAMN PURSE while she chaises her relentlessly.
Disliked: When the crackheads were arguing in the lobby at 2 am when I'm trying to sleep. Crackhead shenanigans are only funny during daylight house.

Stay was excellent

Liked: Facility was very clean, staff also very friendly and professional. Only real bummer was the pool under maintenance during our stay. Hotel was in walking distance to restaurants to which we did partake in. Overall great experience here.
Disliked: Pool was under maintenance

Would stay there again

Disliked: Nothing to complain about
