Hotel Dispensary

Liked: The guy at the desk was very friendly and engaging
Disliked: We come in from the heat outside to heat inside, had to be 85-90 in there. Get my room keys, I'm a disabled vet in a scooter, they only have one elevator, the whole building smells like weed, the lobby, the hallway, the elevator, it was even coming under the door in my room. When I got to my room with my wife and granddaughters, the key didn't work, so as they stood in the hallway with the bags, I went down to get another key, but since there was only one elevator, I had to Wait 10 minutes to go down and 10 minutes to go back up. I couldn't get on with others because of my mobility scooter. My granddaughters (10-13) love hotels but they both said that this was the worst hotel we ever stayed in

This place is independently owned...

Liked: The room location was great and breakfast options were good choices for complimentary breakfast. The staff that we met were fantastic and tried their hardest despite the challenges that they had. They went above and beyond with what they could to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Disliked: They were grossly understaffed and we had to wait an additional 2 hours before we could check in because the room wasn't cleaned or ready yet. Once it was ready, we had to ask for a toilet seat because there was none and also linens for the pull-out sofabed. Later we needed to let them know that there was a leak coming from the air conditioning pipe from upstairs in between the floors that looked like they tried to fix before.We never used the pool or fitness center: a third party contracts for the maintenance on the pool and filters the pool which looks like it has not been done in a very long time because it was very cloudy and there was hardly any water flow; we checked out the fitness center and there was ceiling tile and a puddle of water on one of the exercise bikes and maybe four other pieces of equipment in a 10 x 15 room.

Underwhelming stay

Liked: Parking was great and always a well lit spot available. The room was big and quiet.
Disliked: The room smelled (I think it was the AC), never had proper maid service in the 4 nights I was there (trash was emptied and towels replaced only on the first day), breakfast was just okay and the whole place felt cheap.

Filthy Room, Rude Managers

Disliked: I visited this hotel from out of town with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. We were there for a family reunion event. The floors, and carpet filthy. Chairs and couch had huge stains on them upon entering room. The freezer had developed 2 inches or so of ice which means it had not been defrosted.. Notified manager. He said that the room was old and carpet is expected to be dirty. I told him that I did not feel comfortable taking my shoes off in the room. I asked for a refund. He told me he couldn't do that. I asked to speak with a manager. He said the manager was not available. The manager said he would not give me a refund. I told him I didn't want to stay because of the unclean room. The manager informed me to call their corporate office. Corporate office said I needed to call Booking.com. what a nightmare!!
