It was just okay for...
Liked: The staff were friendly.
Disliked: The whole place needs a facelift, but I'm sure the big company doesn't want to dish out the money. The carpet in the room was make-your-socks-gray dirty and it always felt...damp. The walls were dirty- finger marks, food, splatters in random places; the shower had scuzz, the bathroom floor was filthy (I wiped up water and the towel was gray). But thankfully the linens were clean. The pool area was okay, but there's a white build up in the pool on the tiles to the point that people scratched their names into it. Breakfast was good- typical sausages, eggs, cereal, DIY waffles, drinks. Overall, I would not stay here again because the rooms felt gross.

Exceptional
Liked: It was actually more than I expected.Being that it's in a college town area. The staff was very nice and very friendly.
Disliked: There really wasn't one thing.I could say bad about this hotel.It is a really nice place.

Liked: Location, breakfast included.
Disliked: Age, old stained bathtub. Toilet leaked after flush, exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work. Second floor smelled like mold. Room was stuffy, definite aroma in there as well. Glad my stay was only 3 days for a funeral. Won’t return.

Liked: It was an average hotel. Nothing special, nothing bad about the hotel specifically.
Disliked: I prepaid for my room. I gave my card upon check-in as one does for the deposit hold. Two days after I checked out, they charged that card for my hotel stay again, even though I prepaid. When I called to get that figured out, the gentleman who answered was at first very nice about it but soon turned abrupt and constantly talked over me. Eventually, he refunded the extra stay. Another two days later, I saw that the money had been refunded but then they also charged me for a random amount which totalled almost the amount for my hotel stay that they had just refunded.I had to call AGAIN. I talked to the gentleman who was again rude and quite abrupt. None of this was my fault but his attitude made it seem like he was blaming me. Now, today, a solid week later, I finally received the refund for the money that shouldn't have been charged EVER to my card. This wasn't the first issue I've had at this hotel but didn't provide a review previously because I figured they were isolated incidents. Needless to say, I won't be staying here again. The hotel wasn't great enough to want to go through that again and the selection of hotels in that area is plentiful that I won't need to.
