Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Kansas City at Village West KS

I changed rooms the day of my check-in. I was quoted a price with the difference for changing rooms but wasn't informed about the $50 incidental deposit. When I went to call the front desk later about the charge at the time, the phone in the room was not working. Everything was plugged in but I couldn't even get a dial tone. There was a chocolate bar in a trash can in my room upon check in.

The location and the staff was very friendly; the room was clean; the breakfast was good; the hotel was within walking distance of the mall and several restauraunts and had a free shuttle. I would stay here again.

Disliked: I booked a suite and they put us in a handicapped room. I wish they had asked me if that was OK. Also, the suite door was glass with no curtain, so it sort of defeats the purpose of a suite.

The staff was very friendly, the suite was very nice, and the free shuttle service was tremendous.

My friend and I enjoyed our trip very much due to the close proximity to all we wanted. Great shopping, great restaurants, close to concert venue, and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, small groups, families or anyone that wanted a nice weekend with plenty to do and a nice hotel nearby.

Disliked: There were nasty looking stains on the chair and on the couch cushions. GROSS! And the pleather office chair in our room was all cracking on the sides. Needed replaced.

Disliked: I left my 2 week pill container laying on the chair when we left. I called and I got 2 days of run around and still did not get my pills back! I’m angry with myself but very disappointed in the staff! I hope whoever stole it realizes there isn’t anything fun in there! Also was under construction no elevator and no pool and hot tub!
