Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Kansas City at Village West KS

I changed rooms the day of my check-in. I was quoted a price with the difference for changing rooms but wasn't informed about the $50 incidental deposit. When I went to call the front desk later about the charge at the time, the phone in the room was not working. Everything was plugged in but I couldn't even get a dial tone. There was a chocolate bar in a trash can in my room upon check in.

Liked: Condition of rooms. Bed comfortable.
Disliked: Guest services by front desk. Cleanliness of room.

The location and the staff was very friendly; the room was clean; the breakfast was good; the hotel was within walking distance of the mall and several restauraunts and had a free shuttle. I would stay here again.

Disliked: I booked a suite and they put us in a handicapped room. I wish they had asked me if that was OK. Also, the suite door was glass with no curtain, so it sort of defeats the purpose of a suite.

The staff was very friendly, the suite was very nice, and the free shuttle service was tremendous.

My friend and I enjoyed our trip very much due to the close proximity to all we wanted. Great shopping, great restaurants, close to concert venue, and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, small groups, families or anyone that wanted a nice weekend with plenty to do and a nice hotel nearby.

Disliked: More bathroom counter space; larger shower curtain.

Liked: The room and overall hotel was great. Shelby at the front desk was exceptional! She went above and beyond to help me with the things I needed and did whatever she could to make our stay enjoyable!
Disliked: We had issues with getting double booked once and being told the room we were staying in was booked the following day, and it was not. Which made us have to switch rooms. The manager said it was fixed but never did give me a copy of the transactions to check myself, which made it a little sketchy. I even asked twice for it.

I would not recommend staying...

Liked: Nothing was likable about this place. It was under renovations.
Disliked: The facility was under renovation and customers weren’t aware of the renovations before booking a reservation. The manager and staff was very rude. They removed my belongings from my room and put them in another room and left part of my things in the other room but would not allow me to get my things out the room that they, because they had already put someone else in the room.

Awfully misled and a lack...

Liked: The staff welcomed me nicely, but they should have warned me that my room was filthy, and quite frankly, utterly disgusting. I feel so angered that you all allow this for your guests. You don’t value them, you are blind to the details that actually matter;cleanliness which is crucial for someone to feel good and that they were appreciated. They chose the wrong place with false hopes.
Disliked: The lack of cleaning and care for the guest who keep you afloat while paying salaries. Without the guest you don't have a business.

Liked: The rooms the rooms are very spacious and clean! The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and do everything they can to make the guests feel comfortable.
Disliked: I wish they had biscuits and gravy every morning for breakfast and not just on the weekends
