Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Ithaca NY

Would definitely stay here again. Room was clean; bed was comfortable; front desk employees were very helpful with questions.

Liked: Everything else was great.
Disliked: Hot tub water looked murky.

I would never step foot...

Liked: Absolutely nothing!
Disliked: Everything. Check in was clumsy and when I brought my children in the manager quickly stopped us in the lobby not wanting us on the 2nd floor and gave us different rooms on the first floor siting the children would be too noisy for her 2nd floor guests who were more like tenants. One of the 1st floor rooms reeked of marijuana. The hotel advertised an indoor pool, a main reason for choosing the location and it was "closed indefinitely" without so much as a "sorry for the inconvenience". Nefarious characters in and out of the lobby and the hotel office. I quickly made arrangements to go to a different hotel as my wife and I felt it wasn't a safe place for our children. Awful experience. Radisson should really "audit" this location.

Great staff, but building needs...

Liked: Staff was friendly and helpful. For example, there was a long line at check-in, but the front desk clerk was still kind, personable, and checked everyone in with surprising speed. We enjoyed the welcome package that was provided (free bottled water and a cookie). We also appreciated that all utensils for coffee and breakfast were individually wrapped. That's not true in similar hotels we've stayed at. Makes me wish it was industry standard.
Disliked: Although clean, the facility is in disrepair. The parking lot had a few large potholes, the sidewalk entrance needed patching, the dresser in our room had mismatched drawer handles (and one was broken), the armchair in the room was dingy and worn, and chunks of drywall/plaster had fallen off where the bathtub meets the wall.

We liked the hotel so...

Liked: Our room with a kitchenette is clean, spacious and comfortable. Location is good, close to a lot of attractions. Breakfast is good. We stayed for 3 nights and they tried to provide varieties by making some changes in items everyday.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Breakfast was good overall, clean and well stocked. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Overall the room was decent, but definitely not clean enough for the $200 price tag. Under our bed was garbage, there was a sticky spot on the floor and it just seemed a bit shabby for the price. I've stayed at hotels for less than 150 that far exceeded this hotel. It was decent, but for the price, I'll probably stay somewhere else next time.

Liked: Very clean hotel- the staff was great! Extremely helpful. The breakfast in the mornings was terrific- probably the best I’ve seen at any hotel we’ve been to before. So many things to pick from, including lots of healthier choices.
