Adequate stay for the money...

Liked: Continental breakfast was great. Room; bathroom needs a little more elbow cleaning....found hair on toliet and floor. More attention to detail. Beds were ok. We had a great time but I am a dirt diva and this property needs a thorough cleaning. Hallway carpet needs a good cleaning, but it was an extremely busy weekend.
Disliked: The fact that the employees were smoking outside the front door patio and you got hit with the smoke as soon you entered or left the building.Breakfast area needs a little updating, tables and chairs and lighting.

Liked: We stay here 3 or 4 times a year. The staff and amenities have been great every visit.

Liked: Good location and value. porch outside hotel was a great place to relax at the end of the day
Disliked: no towel racks in bathroom and shower curtain was not water proof so water collected on the floor, which was unsafe for slipping.

Liked: Front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and provided a lot of information about the area at check in, making recommendations for dinner. Check in was quick and they explained how breakfast works as well as complimentary cookies.
Disliked: We stayed two nights in a family suite at this location. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the quality of the property is below average. The carpets were embedded with dust and dirt, the lobby smelled of bleach and our room was filthy as well. Walls were severely stained and damaged with abrasions. We used the couch pull out bed to find the cushions stained and mattress cover was dirty with blood spatter stains. We requested another set of new sheets, and those were clean, but with holes and tears. The bathroom appeared renovated with new fixtures, but poor workmanship with paint. Carpets in the room were embedded with cobwebs in the corners, behind doors, and room edges. Its one of those issues where you don't feel comfortable to sit down anywhere, keeping your shoes on and find yourself pulling open all the blankets, inspecting the sheets/mattress for any surprises. Breakfast is a basic continental assortment of eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereals, waffles and juices. Only negative on this is how early breakfast ends at 9:30am. We found ourselves rushing opposed to having a relaxed morning on our vacation. The pool is not usable- its small, looks suspicious and the deck has a big ugly smear where they filled in an old hot tub depression. The only thing saving this place is lack of other options in this tiny town as well as staff friendliness. I have stayed at Country Inn & Suites in other states, and this one was a shock in comparison of consistency in standards. I would not recommend staying here unless they pull a big renovation project and rehaul housekeeping. They may face this forced makeover once that new Holiday Inn, under construction in front of them, opens.
