The Spotlight on Country Inn & Suites By Radisson Delta Park North Portland

Comfortable Convenience Near Portland’s Music Scene

Modern, affordable, and just a short drive from downtown Portland, the Country Inn & Suites By Radisson Delta Park North Portland offers a cozy base for music fans looking to stay near the action without the downtown price tag. Just 10 minutes from the city center, this hotel combines practical comfort with easy access to top concert venues like the Portland International Raceway and Portland Expo Center—both less than 2 miles away.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show at the Expo Center or catching a race-day concert at the Raceway, this location is hard to beat. A quick rideshare or drive gets you there in under 10 minutes. After the music ends, you’ll appreciate the quiet surroundings for a restful night. The 24-hour reception makes late-night check-ins a breeze, and with a noon check-out, you won’t feel rushed the next day. Free parking is a bonus for those driving in for a show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a wallet-friendly stay close to the venue
  • Solo travelers checking off a must-see artist
  • Couples planning a weekend around a concert
  • Fans needing a quiet post-show retreat
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want comfort

Food and Drink Options

The hotel offers a free expanded continental breakfast—ideal for sleeping in after a late concert. While there’s no on-site restaurant, plenty of nearby dining options are just a short drive away. Each room has a coffee maker for that essential morning caffeine fix, and there’s a guest launderette on-site for added convenience.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, it’s just a few minutes from some of Portland’s best late-night spots. Venture downtown or to the nearby Mississippi District for bars, lounges, and live music venues, then retreat to the calm of your room when you're ready to wind down.

What People Say

Guests love the clean, comfortable rooms and the friendly, helpful staff. The location gets high marks for being both close to major venues and quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The free parking and value for money are often highlighted as major perks.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers note that the hotel’s decor is a bit dated, and while the location is great for venues, it’s not in the heart of the nightlife scene—so expect to drive or rideshare if you're planning a big night out.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a comfortable, quiet stay with easy access to Portland's venues, Country Inn & Suites By Radisson Delta Park North Portland hits the right note.

Liked: Got a room away from traffic
Disliked: Driving thru the vagrants at the corner gas station - quite scary. Noise all night in the room above me

Great staff would stay there...

Liked: Breakfast was awesome, and decent coffee. A/C and TV worked very well. Had to be moved to a different room as the elevator on one side of the building wasn't working and the staff was very understanding and accommodating.
Disliked: Door keys didn't always work when entering from the exterior doors, they did always work at the main Lobby door and the room door. Elevator was very slow and one wasn't working when we arrived.

Steer clear.

Liked: The staff member that helped me cancel my reservation was very nice, understanding, and helpful. That person likely deserves a raise.
Disliked: Yikes! There was easily 50 homeless people in the parking lot and surrounding the hotel. One guy had a baseball bat strapped to him and was casing cars in the parking lot. I saw several others doing drugs. A group was also rolling a Lowes pallet of Istolen goods through the parking lot.I was too fearful to get out and even go check in with all the activity I saw in the first 5 minutes of pulling in. Did not feel that myself, daughter, or vehicle was going to be safe.Would probably be fine if you didn't have a car and didn't leave the hotel. They need to invest in a fence and security guard to fix this problem.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

The unhoused that were high...

Liked: Beds and bathroom were comfortable. We got rooms overlooking soccer fields which was nice. Breakfast and staff were nice. Location convenient to the soccer tournament and freeway access.
Disliked: Unhoused overran the parking lot, almost all were high and out of their elements. The side doors to the building sporadically worked with our key cards which made it feel even more unsafe when unhoused were right up next to the building digging through trash. Building had terrible smell to mask the cigarette/pet smells. Our key cards prematurely stopped working so we had to get them rekeyed. Ice vending didn’t work on 4th floor, our stay. Took us an hour to checkin.

Crap unsafe

Liked: The room was clean
Disliked: Where do I start? First off to get to the hotel you have wade through homeless. Then the hotel it self on the outside is run down. The is no curve appeal. The landscape is over grown with weeds and garbage. Oh you just can’t walk into the hotel you have to be buzzed in because of all the homeless. Then breakfast was a joke. And there was a homeless guy getting breakfast too (great and I had to pay for the crap). And same homeless guy saw someone left a water bottle and asked if it was ours we said no. Then he filled it up with juice and kept it. Stay away from this place!

Good

Liked: The facility is good and it offers free Continental breakfast
Disliked: The location is quite scary when I saw a whole bunch of homeless near the entrance. I don't feel comfortable going to the parking lot by myself. However, the staff did everything they can to keep the facility safe.

Passable

Liked: Fresh cookies, breakfast included
Disliked: Elevator did not work. Musty smell. Surrounded by a lot of homeless camps.
