Liked: The location was very convenient. It was only a short walk from the train station, so it was easy for me to get to it. It was also the most affordable hotel in the area. Finally, there were several stores and restaurants in the area, so finding places to eat and buy drinks or snacks was no problem at all.
Disliked: The walls were didn't keep out sound well, so I heard traffic and people from other rooms all night long. The switch to turn the lights on and off was linked to nearly every outlet in the room, so when I turned them off for the night, it shut off nearly everything, including the refrigerator. This also prevented me from easily charging up my phone overnight. Finally, there was a smoke detector in the room right over the bed that would flash constantly while the lights were out. This combined with the noise made it very difficult to sleep.

Liked: Better, once I read how to reach the hotel better on Rt35, and not the crazy u-turn way on GPS. Nice covered entry during pouring rain. Friendly staff, and I felt safe. All the antiques made me feel at home.
Disliked: Not good soundproofing. Every night the next door couple were speaking VERY LOUDLY until 1:30am, one night it was 2 am. A child was yelling in another room, but stopped at 10pm. Lots of running, banging noises, but usually stopped at midnight. Thank god I’m hard of hearing, but could not get my tv volume past level 10 to watch the 6:30 news.
