Liked: The staff were excellent. The facilities were tired; it needs a major make-over.
Disliked: It was feeling very tired and battered. Could be much nicer, but it would also need a lot of money spent and maybe that's just not possible.

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: It needs decorating as it was tired looking, many damp places where chunks have come off the wall. The room was lovely but the bathroom floor had a great piece of filler in another colour holding it together!

Quiet retreat

Liked: Location for visiting family. Quiet with exceptional views.Friendly,helpful staff.A country feel but close to local transport.Excellent chicken wings on the menu.
Disliked: Could do with a little TLC in the rooms.Upgrade on bed linen, especially pillows.

Very good

Liked: It was private remote and nice quick getaway for my husband and I. It was easy to get to with 24hr reception. The room was spacious and clean and the view of the grounds where beautiful. There is ample parking.
Disliked: It was quite confusing getting through to find our rooms as they aren't all labeled in a way that is easy to find.
