Cotswold Lodge Hotel

Ok for 1 night.

Liked: Good location for my work.
Disliked: Very warm on the upper floor. No lift. Breakfast not as good as it should have been.

I had a nice stay...

Liked: I liked the décor of the room, its cleanliness, and the breakfast in the morning was very good.
Disliked: No fan or aircon, but it was unusually hot this June. The Courtyard rooms are quite small, with nowhere to sit. So this room only suits people who are just using it to sleep or for a short stay. I had hoped there would be parking as the hotel says it has parking, and there is limited parking, but its first come first serve and there isn't enough for the whole hotel. So don't presume there will be parking available. There is street parking but it was expensive, so I'd take that into account another time.

Nice place - odd staff...

Liked: Nice building. Room was comfortable.
Disliked: Sticky dining tables ( on both mornings of our stay….ie they could do with a proper clean). Staff behaved a bit oddly…one of them had a seat at a table during breakfast. Cleaning girls were sat on the floor right outside our bedroom door looking at their phones on day of departure.

Disliked: A little far from the main tourist area but the walk was lovely.

Great Venue for a short...

Liked: Good food. Comfortable and quiet room. Excellent staff especially Josh.
Disliked: Had to cancel the second night as we unexpectedly needed to get home early. We asked if we could have that night as a credit to use later in the year. The hotel politely declined explaining that this was due to Booking.com rules. I found this disappointing. No criticism at all of the hotel but I was disappointed with Booking.coms lack of flexibility given how frequently we use them. Something to consider.

Disliked: Room in roof was very hot with only two small roof windows. Quite loud Pop music in breakfast room.
