Nice hotel, friendly staff but...

Liked: The location and the beautiful building. Big bedroom.
Disliked: Bathroom needs updating. Very little signage from car park to the hotel. Quite a walk with heavy bags so drop you bags off when you arrive. I cannot understand, just because you have a dog with you, that you don’t get a tablecloth. I appreciate that we have to sit in the brassier but surely you could add a tablecloth to the table!

Disliked: We thought the room was very basic and needed updating. The bed was very soft! The food was good although the portion size of the pork belly was tiny for the cost and I’m not a huge eater! They did however, very kindly, cook me another piece.

Nice but tired decor

Liked: Great location for starting the Cotswolds Way. Friendly reception staff at check in
Disliked: The interior is tired and well worn. Chipped paintwork, damaged veneered furniture, ceiling spot lights are brown in the bathroom and some lights didn’t work. It looks like it is time for a refresh in the bedrooms
