Incredible stay

Liked: We couldn’t recommend Costislost House enough. It is incredibly comfortable, clean, spacious, and in beautiful surroundings. The breakfast is the best we’ve ever received at a B&B, and the room has everything you could possibly ask for. Lorna is really lovely and we felt very welcome. There are just so many incredible thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack and treats for our dog and access to the grounds. Thank you for having us, what a memorable experience :)
Disliked: Nothing - all absolutely perfect.

It's not just B&B because...

Liked: The breakfast was absolutely superb, from the Continental meat selection( included- not instead of) an array of cereals, plus yoghurt and fresh fruit, to the excellent full English or a variety of different offerings like poached eggs with salmon. Ample toast with Two types of bread on offer which you helped yourself to. Three types of fruit juice, plus a cafetiere of coffee to help yourself. Oh don't forget the straight from the oven Danish pastries! The super king size beds were a dream, (Bathrobes and slippers supplied) the coffee machine in the bedroom was a surprise, as was the complimentary fridge outside the rooms stocked with bottles of filtered water. The supplied dog basket with blankets toys and treats for our dogs was also very welcome! Altogether an amazing stay, one we hope to savour again.
Disliked: There is nothing that we could fault

A country house weekend in...

Liked: A country house weekend manor full of charm, cozy indulgence, historic interest, great hosts, delicious food, and dogs! My sister and I had a splendid weekend and appreciated the warm and genuine hospitality of Lorna and Andre from the moment we arrived. Fires in the hearth, stunning tub and White House toiletries, plenty of snacks, and home cooked meals. Possibly the best pain au chocolat I have ever had! Entrance to the drive best from bodmin rather than wadebridge, but that was easy with a u turn at trehellas house. We got out across bodmin moor to the hurlers and trethevy quoit, walked the camel near wadebridge, and enjoyed stunning views at Trevose head. Padstow was not worth the detour as we had seen other harbour towns in Cornwall with less tourist kitsch and better food. We didn’t make it to penhallow but would love to return for that treat. Great central location for lanhydrock house, fowey, cotehele, and more. Four thumbs up from us! Thank you Lorna and Andre! And scratchies to Lily, the Jack Russell, for the snuggles.
