Copthorne Hotel Wellington Oriental Bay

Good stay, but disappointed to...

Disliked: We were housed in the hotel behind the main Copthorne (which I didn't even know existed), not the same quality as the main hotel

My bed was uncomfortable

Liked: The meals were lovely

Superb

Comfortable n convenient stay

Liked: Good location, great view, nice room size, good hot water pressure.
Disliked: Some thought on how guest could keep their clothes. Possibly lot more shelves and hooks rather than just a cupboard or a chair to keep clothes

Disappointing

Liked: The staff were awesome
Disliked: Dirty stained beds, room looked bigger in pictures. They promoted room to have a Seaview but we were put in the back rooms which overlooked the front of building

Disliked: Had to move rooms as adjoining room playing loud music early hours of the morning

Liked: The location is great and the view.
Disliked: After speaking to the receptionist, saying it's not about the issue it's about how you fix the fault.This is why this bad review is my first.I was appreciative of early check in and my expense room upgrade.However restaurant got booking wrong, providing 2 different menus.Children allowed to run in restaurants which I consider high end.This along with noisy heat pump you couldn't leave on because fan motor broken.No winter blankets on bed.Room next door allowed to party until 3.30am.Not the only guest to complain.Yes reception said sorry however this was a well saved break and the accommodation was a large cost to not even get a good night's sleep.At the minimum they could have refunded the room upgrade.The $150 bond held on credit card was also not expected.I hope the room next to us didn't get refunded as this was a total disaster place to stay.
