Copthorne Hotel Plymouth

Passable

Liked: The food was good , the location central , the room size was good .
Disliked: The room was extremely hot making it uncomfortable , my son couldn't sleep until almost 3am due to the temperature in the room despite fan's going .. There was dust on some lamps , & in corners of carpet by bed . We did discover a bloodstained matress protector which showed as I pulled bed cover back on sheet . Reception called and came up , the lady appolagised profusely but was no capacity to move us - she suggested putting 2 x sheets over the stain . I felt unsettled by this and asked if we could flip matress which we did , not ideal and for health and hygiene reasons with my personal health far from ideal . Personally I would expect a partial refund or something as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience . Especially when items are contaminated with blood ! Nothing further was offered as an appolagy on check out nobody asked how the stay was , the tone was very flat from the receptionist.

Bathroom cleaness let it down...

Disliked: The toilet seat from the outside was dirty and soiled. I had to. Lean it myself. Was not impressed.Also the sink plug hole had something in it and was not clean:(

Provided everything we required.

Liked: Location, Breakfast, helpful staff.
Disliked: Nothing to speak of

Very nice hotel but lack...

Liked: Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely
Disliked: The room had a droaning noise all night, both nights. Didn't get much sleep. The lady who looks after the breakfast area was very bossy to other staff members, maybe a communication problem.
