Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill Dudley

The staff are truly outstanding! Accommodated my every need. The head chef Rob worked with me on my dietary requirements as a competitive bodybuilder which was over and beyond. It had been a long time since I’ve stayed in hotel with service and staff of this calibre.

Disliked: Staff; room; facilities; parking.

Liked: Good position, water front is niceBed very confortable
Disliked: Staff not very friendly, nor at reception neither at restaurant. i.e. I had no explanation about the parking fees. Happy to pay and i know it is written everywhere, but in my opinion is not clear (by the way, parking super full and had to park outside one day!)

Liked: Room on 3rd floor corner. Lush.Lge. Airy. Windows opened.Big bathroom.Decent robeBreakfast was class. Food not warm on 2nd morning and it was sorted immediately
Disliked: Spa was our USP. But it's old, tired, dire, dirty. Both 2 man steaming sauna are claustrophobia. Not relaxing. Steam room seats were slimy and sludgy. Both smelt of BO., no freshness.Pool was tiny. We went in once, didn't stay long. Changing rooms were awful. Showers worse than a camp site. We walked up the dusty, none carpeted back stairs in out towels. 45.00 a month for swim membership!!! Arrived at resturant at 9pm too be told closed. Sign in lift says 9.30

Liked: Very friendly staff and welcoming . We were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost which was very nice x
