Beautiful area - great motel...

Liked: A motor court style motel conveniently located on route 9. Backs on the Quaboag River which is on the Blue Trail and there is a very large grassy area leading down to the water with picnic tables. There are so many birds. We stayed in the 2-story building which does not back on the river. Units 1 through 17 or 18 all have back doors leading out to the back area, great for walking, letting kids and dogs run around, etc. It's a beautiful area with woods, ponds and a scenic covered bridge not far away. There's also a fantastic bbq place on wheels, open 3 days a week, called Pig Park. Small menu, fantastic ribs and brisket. Room was nicer than expected, more like a hotel room than your typical motel. The studios have a small kitchen setup, two burners, sink, micro, toaster, mini fridge no oven. Dishes, cutlery and cookware provided. Overall we loved it and plan to return in the later Spring
Disliked: Very loud fan in the bathroom and kitchen! The bathroom fan was connected to the light so if you turned the light on, it was loud.

Disliked: It's outdated. The bed spread, looked like it was from the 70's and quilted. And carpeting was old as well.
