Historic Charm Meets Music-Lover Convenience in Boston's Back Bay

Modern yet full of character, the Copley Square Hotel is a stylish boutique stay in Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood. With sleek, modern rooms, free WiFi throughout, and easy access to the city’s top cultural hotspots, this is an ideal base for travelers heading to concerts, shows, or festivals around Boston. You’ll be just over a mile from Fenway Park and the Museum of Fine Arts, with subway and bus stops nearby for easy late-night returns.

Why Concert-goers love it

Its central Back Bay location makes getting to Boston’s major venues quick and easy, whether you're headed to a stadium show or a more intimate gig. The hotel is far enough from the action to offer a quieter night’s sleep, but close enough that you can walk or hop a quick ride back after the encore. Check-in starts at 3 PM and check-out is at 11 AM—just enough time to recover from a late night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish spot to rally before the show
  • Solo travelers chasing their bucket-list band
  • Couples turning a concert into a weekend escape
  • Fans who want a relaxing space to unwind post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting boutique vibes without the huge price tag

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn't offer full on-site dining, you're in a walkable food haven. Back Bay is home to dozens of late-night eateries, from cozy cafes to gastropubs. Guests mention plenty of nearby breakfast spots perfect for a slow start after a loud night. Room service isn’t available 24/7, but staff are happy to recommend nearby late-night bites.

Nightlife Options

No need to Uber far for a post-show drink—Back Bay has lots of nearby bars and lounges. Whether you're after a trendy cocktail bar, a classic Irish pub, or a quiet wine spot, it's all within walking distance. The hotel itself doesn’t host live music, but the neighborhood is alive with sound, especially on weekends.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s stylish atmosphere, fantastic location, and friendly staff. Many mention how easy it is to get to and from concerts, and appreciate the peaceful vibe after a big night out. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and thoughtful design touches get regular praise.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can run on the smaller side, especially if you're traveling with lots of gear. There’s no on-site restaurant or bar, which some guests miss. But with such a central location, most say it’s not a deal-breaker.

The Bottom Line

The Copley Square Hotel is a stylish, centrally located boutique stay that gives concert-goers the best of Boston—easy venue access, local nightlife, and a quiet place to crash after the show.

Poor value for the price...

Liked: Location is the only thing going for this grand old over priced hotel.
Disliked: For a hotel charging over $500 per night the facilities are very disappointing. There was a constant noise from a huge water truck pumping out water to the adjoining building all day. I requested for a tea kettle in my room and I was given an absurd answer that being a 130 year old hotel, their electrical systems would not be able to sustain the load. Even though air conditioners, TVs and laptops were all working just fine. The airconditioning system is very old and makes a big racket leading to disturbed sleep. Only one working elevator in the building and it's painfully slow.

The location was great, but...

Liked: The amenities is the location.
Disliked: The room was really cramped, particularly for the price. One bottle of water, slow elevators, and one coffee station for the whole hotel.

Avoid at all costs, terrible...

Disliked: I had a very disappointing stay at Copley Square Hotel and would not return. I paid over $1,200 for four nights and only got one decent night of sleep. Before I even arrived, I called to shift my check-in by one day and was met with a rude and dismissive staff member who talked over me and showed no interest in helping. When I finally did arrive, the first room had a broken AC motor that squealed and rumbled loudly all night. I was moved to a smaller room--just one bed instead of the two I had paid for--and that room's AC was even worse: it blew hot air even when turned off, making the room uncomfortably warm. I had to sleep with the window open in freezing temps, with traffic noise all night. The AC was finally fixed on the last night. Beyond that, the elevator was out of service during my stay, and the room had what appeared to be blood stains on the floor and hair/stains on the pillows--completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially at this price point.I contacted management and only after months did the manager, Jordan, get back to me. His offer? A discounted rate and complimentary upgrade for a future stay. I don't plan on coming back to Boston, and that response does nothing to address the money I paid or the poor experience I had.Service, cleanliness, communication, and accountability were all lacking. Would not recommend.
