Disliked: Shocking ! rude, horrible and awful owner! Accused us of sneaking children in when we clearly booked for 4 and a dog with email proof of confirmation! would highly NOT recommend. We travel a lot with wonderful accommodation but have never experienced such an unfriendly miserable man to be shouted at down the phone the way he did to me when he didn't have the facts was disgusting and shouldn't be dealing with humans. Fullstop!

Nice staff great location

Liked: At the foothills of some beautiful hills and mountain just behind the hotel. Go up the hill past Ye Olde Bull Inn and there’s a small car park for three or four cars and you can walk some very beautiful footpath or even hike up to the top of a 3000+ foot mountain.
Disliked: The walls are a little thin and you can hear your neighbours but most people are hikers so they go to bed early

Well we booked to climb...

Liked: The restaurant closed last year so no breakfast or dinner available. Bookings.com listed as a 3 star hotel.....
Disliked: Well it was a prefabricated outbuilding. The shower didn't work properly and the toilet wouldn't flush. Bookings.com have this a s a 3 star hotel......?

Good basic accommodation

Liked: Friendly helpful host. Quiet location on the way to our next stop. The beds were most comfortable. Good basic accommodation with outside seating area. Would stay again. Excellent free parking close to the room. Wifi connection was good.
Disliked: The bathroom needs attention as the top of the toilet was cracked and broken but still worked. Website and hotel advertising showed food available, but the restaurant was no longer operating. No-one to be seen when we checked out.

Liked: The view and the large window. The wallpaper color blends well with the bedding which gives a nice relaxing feeling.
Disliked: The bathroom needs to be refurbished

Falsely advertised hotel

Liked: The bed was comfortable & the surrounding countryside was beautiful
Disliked: Management was very poor. We retrieved our keys & were pointed in the direction of our room.The bathroom was inadequate. The shower didn't work properly.We went to the bar for a drink & staff were very unfriendly. It was like it was too much effort to serve us our drinks and crisps.There is a large sign out the front of the hotel advertising delicious home made food. Licensed bar & restaurant but we were told that they don't do food!False advertising!!!

Needing a little TLC

Disliked: There was no fridge, so everything we had chilled went off. Restaurant was closed every night we were there
