Located in the historic market town of Ashbourne the Compton House features free Wi-Fi and free private parking. This family-run guest house is just 9 miles from Alton Towers Theme Park. Originally 3 terraced cottages the Compton House offers rooms with a TV radio and tea and coffee making facilities. The en suite bath or shower rooms have a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. In the mornings the Compton House serves full English breakfast. Dishes are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce along with homemade jam and marmalade. Ashbourne is home to the St Oswalds Church which dates back to the 14th century. The surrounding Peak District countryside is ideal for scenic walks. It also offers numerous historical houses including Kedlaston Hall which is just 11 miles from Compton House. Whiston Hall Golf Club is just 20 minutes' drive.

Liked: The location and the host!
Disliked: The whole house needed a good deep clean! Our room had furniture that was well past its sell by date and there was dust in lots of place"s! The en-suite was not clean at all the rim of the toilet was dirty and the whole bathroom cleanliness was well below par! It dos"nt matter if your paying £500 or £90 for a room it should be cleaned properly there are no excuses!!
