Compston House B & B

Very good

Liked: The location is in the middle of town so ideal. Hosts were really nice and told me where I could park which is 2 mins away and also letting us leave our cases as we arrived early. Breakfast was beautiful and bed comfy.
Disliked: On the main road to the lake so if you are a light sleeper you will hear cars driving past till 11pm and starting again around 6 am. The room we had was well in need of refurbishment which we were told were due to be done so if I booked again I would check I had a newly renovated room away from the road. Would preferably have a material bed head as couldn't prop up comfortably on metal one.

Liked: The property is lovely just unfortunately the room we stayed in was the only one that hasn’t been updated yet.The mattress was an old spring mattress and was uncomfortable and hardly slept.Only had thin blinds in the room which let all the light in.When I made the booking the owners did inform us that we would be staying in the room that hadn’t been updated yet.But we wasn’t expecting the mattress to be like it was and the blinds . It was only those that put us off.We will stay again but we will make sure we book one of the other rooms that have been done which we have stayed in before and couldn’t fault that room which was room 1
Disliked: Was the room only everything else about our stay was good especially the breakfast I had an omelette and it’s the best omelette I’ve had.

Very comfortable stay.

Liked: Welcoming, helpful hosts. Very comfortable bed, and, nice sized bathroom with walk in shower, good breakfast, and in a very good location, close to bus stops.
Disliked: Nothing.

Absolutely brilliant

Liked: All of it, great breakfast, lovely family including pooch, and couldn't get a better location.
Disliked: Nothing negative to say whatsoever.

Liked: Excellent location with free parking voucher. Near bus stop and many eating and drinking establishments. Nice friendly and helpful staff, The best breakfast ever. Nice and clean and welcoming.
Disliked: The double bed was against the wall but a minor point and there was not much else that could be done with the bed.
