Highly Recommended.

Liked: Compton House is in an excellent location. We could easily walk everywhere in Ambleside we needed to go to ie shops, restaurants, buses and Ambleside wharf. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with advice and helping us with our luggage. Breakfasts were extensive and John (our hosts) made excellent GF pancakes! Thank you John!! Our room was roomy, warm and bed comfortable. We can highly recommend it.

Fab location, great breakfast, great...

Liked: Clean, well presented and well appointed. Nice breakfast room and lounge. Really lovely husband and wife team running the place. I was in the single room and it was great. Good size, own bathroom.
Disliked: The only thing was that one of the shelves was a bit wobbly and the TV was a bit high up to watch comfortably, but both minor things. The single room is due to be upgraded soon.
