Liked: Everything about the hotel was quality it was a great location and easy to get to as I had a hire car. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you I would definitely use the hotel when we come to the Isle of Man again

Uncomfortably hot rooms

Disliked: No A/CConsidering the cost of the rooms per night, I would expect to have air conditioning. The rooms were far too hot to be able to sleep. A small fan provided on request didn't really help at all.

Nice hotel, but not as...

Liked: First of all staff were really friendly. Food was nice for breakfast and an evening meal. We didn’t get maid service during our stay, which was a bit disappointing as I had to make the bed when I’d finished work. Also the pool area, although looked lovely and I did go down for a swim, there is no proper ventilation in the pool hall and it was extremely humid and smelt a bit - this let the spa area down and was surprising for a 4 star - they need to invest here.
Disliked: Staff friendly, food lovely and a nice location.

Lonely quiet stay comfortable beds...

Liked: Lovely quiet peaceful location family friendly good buffet style breakfast which had a good selection of cereal toast yogurt fruit juice etc
Disliked: All good lift a bit confusing as reception is on fourth floor and our room was on floor minus 1

Liked: Excellent hotel. Lovely rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely with eggs cooked to order - although it did seem to take a long time to fry an egg...
Disliked: The room was excellent but (there is always a but) the bathroom which had only recently been refurbished I would assume did not have a shaver socket. Also, and this did not affect our stay. Behind the door into the room, on the wall was a box which covered some sort of electrics. Every time you opened the door, the door closure bashed into this box. As a result it was all crumpled and damaged. This had no impact on our stay at the hotel but as so much consideration was given to other details this was just a glaring mistake in positioning of the box. Of course, I don't know if this was our room only or common to others but it was a shame.

Liked: Breakfast is ok but after a week it got boring, sorry. No variation. It’s very quiet and close for the ferry. The staff are very helpful
