Comfort Suites Suffolk - Chesapeake

We had no problem locating this hotel, visible from the main street. The receptionist was polite and the room was equipped with a small refrigerator and was very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast. The only negative was the inability to completely close the draperies.

Disliked: Fire alarms went off and they couldn’t find any workers to clear for us to go back in to the hotel. Other than that was a good stay

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The room was promoted as smoke-free. There were cigarette ashes all over the window sill. The sofa had a fowl odor. I suffer from respiratory issues. I could not stay and wasted my money. I will never stay there again. I should be compensated.

Liked: Easy access to the highway and local eateries.
Disliked: Only one working elevator and it was slow as molasses.

Bad management from my impression

Disliked: We were informed the manager has changed us from a double queen room to a single king room without asking us. We were told the hotel was overbooked and could not have the double queen room we had booked and paid for months in advance. After a long discussion at the front desk (and being informed the manager would not speak directly with customers) we eventually were moved to a double queen room that we had paid for. Overall, an extremely annoying experience at the end of a long travel day
