Liked: It is sad because the property was clean and very comfortable but what I object to about this property completely overrode the good parts.
Disliked: My door did not lock. The first time I left my room to go to an event I returned to find my door was not locked. Just touching the door opened it. I assumed I had not pulled it up correctly. The next time I carefully pulled it up. I as a solo traveler was shocked to find (when I returned slightly after midnight) it pushed open again. The next day I told the lady at the desk and left for the day. She said they would take care of it. I returned much later to find it was not locked and the door of the room next door was also open slightly. I was very upset. I tried to talk to the manager the next morning before check out but she was late and I needed to leave. I called her after I returned home to let her know of the terrible lapse of the hotel’s responsibility. She was very apologetic and I asked her to please call/ text me back to assure me that it would be addressed as I did not want to leave a bad review for an otherwise pleasant stay. She assured me she would but didn’t. I consider this a major instance of blatant disregard for the safety of their guests as well as disrespect of a reasonable request by a paying guest for an explanation. THE FINAL STRAW WAS WHEN MY THIRD PARTY BOOKING AGENCY SENT ME A NOTE SAYING THAT I HAD NOT SHOWN UP FOR MY RESERVATION!!! I could be subject to a no show fee. THE HOTEL CHARGED ME FULL PRICE BUT TOLD THE THIRD PARTY BOOKING SITE I DID NOT SHOW. I asked the site to investigate as I DID show up and was charged. This is close to if not criminal! It is a shame. It is a very nice hotel and I have never left an overall negative review but these practices were wrong with no explanation and I am shocked at such abuse of trust by a known hotel chain.

Disliked: The pool got closed earlier than expected, didn’t have top golf view like the reservation said
