Liked: Staff at the front desk were very helpful.
Disliked: This was booked online and I thought I was going thru the hotels website but later found out that it was booked thru third party booking.com. The reservation was made around 10 PM. The reservations went in for the next day, instead of the current day. The phone number listed on confirmation, in case you had any problems, was not correct. The person who answered said the number we were calling was for another hotel chain. We decided to go to the Hotel and work with them there. The hotel could not find a reservation. They looked at our confirmation and informed me that the reservations were made thru bookings.com and the hotel did not show it in their system yet. The hotel clerk told me many people were experiencing the same problem. The front desk gave me the correct number for booking.com. I called them to get things straightened out however the person at booking.com kept placing me on hold. The front desk clerk felt bad and was trying to see what she could do from her end. After about an hour, the front desk clerk was able to get permission from the supervisor to let us stay and they would work it out with booking.com. At the same moment that the front desk was telling me that the hotel would help us out, booking.com called the hotel about our reservation and they even put the hotel on hold without resolving. I ended up hanging up after being in the call for over an hour. After that fiasco we were given the card key for the room. We went to the room and found out that the room keys did not work. I went to Lobby where they made another set and also had a staff member come up to make sure we were doing it correctly. 2nd set of keys did not work. Staff could not get the lock to work. He thought the batteries in the lock may have gone bad. We were then switched to another room on another floor. This time the keys worked however our problems did not end there. Once we entered the room and turned on the lights, we could smell something.

Liked: Close to I-95 and Florida Turnpike. Ample parking, super attentive staff willing to please and very helpful. Easy checkin and checkout process.
Disliked: Old building in need of repairs. Security card scanners on all side entrances weren't working so anyone could get into the property without being a guest of the hotel. Bath tub had permanent stains and water pooled, making it dangerous to step into it. It also had rust stains. King suite layout was not optimal with no area to eat, since desk had only 1 chair and there was no coffee table. Coffee maker inside the bathroom is a very bad idea for many reasons. Besides, it used valuable space that could be used for toiletries. Quality of breakfast was poor. Paper thin walls meant that we were bothered by noises from next room and cleaning personnel talking on hallways. Fire alarm went off briefly for 3 days in a row. I'm glad it we didn't have to get out of our rooms or the hotel. Foul and moldy smell at the main elevator exit of third floor. No extra blankets nor pillows available in room.
