Comfort Suites Downtown

I was satisfied but would...

Liked: Clean, good location, wonderful staff.
Disliked: Slow, dodgy elevator, poor breakfast setup not worth consuming. The hotel is tired looking and a little musty smelling.

Disliked: It was so dirty and unhygienic. Carpets are dusty and dirty. Overall, it was not worth

Very shabby and grimy hotel....

Liked: The location of this hotel is very central in downtown Montreal. Staff were pleasant.
Disliked: The hotel has a very shabby and grimy. Electrical outlets hanging out of the wall. Walk paper peeling and paint cracked around the door. Hallways had not been vacuumed. Breakfast room could not accommodate the number of people in the hotel. Another space should have been made available. We had to sit in the lounge by and eat our food.

Very good

Liked: It was in a great spot, close to the metro, bus, restaurants, and all that stuff.
Disliked: The hotel is surrounded by bars, and the drunk people there were super loud.

We got what we paid...

Liked: Location was great. Room small, moderately clean. Coffee maker didn’t work. White bed spreads showed slight soil marks, but bedding was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean. Had to ask for hand soap. Towels were very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Public bathroom was clean and comfortable to use. Staff was very accommodating. Called for taxis, helped with luggage storage when room wasn’t ready because we were early. Especially Puma.
Disliked: Hallway rugs showed used marks and felt that they weren’t as clean as they could have been.

Liked: This hotel was the best decision we made on our trip! The rooms are large, with everything you’d need. The location is top tier! The customer service was incredible and staff were the best. I cannot recommend this location enough! 10/10 for us!
Disliked: We loved every minute here!

Excellent downtown location + comfortable...

Liked: Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Not enough bath towels for two people; despite booking room with pull out couch, no bedding was supplied (you had to go get it from front desk- no offer to bring it up); the breakfast room did not have enough chairs and tables to accommodate the number of people wanting to eat at the same time (some guests were actually standing); the room was not made up or cleaned during our stay with no notice or instructions as to what is expected in that regard); the mini-fridge is not stocked - not even with water. and there are no drinking glasses supplied. No one was available to help us with our bags up to the room on arrival - or help get out bags on to the cart, provided by the hotel (the front desk staff are busy checking in guests and there didn't appear to be any other staff. Basically there is no "service" at this hotel. These are all relatively minor things - but even addressing some of them would convert a "good" stay to "excellent".
