Pleasant

Liked: The beds are comfortable and large space to have company over to visit.
Disliked: Staff is short tempered and talk about other guests. The hotel itself is dirty. Lobby and hallways leading to rooms look like they could use a new vacuum. Rooms are large and comfortable beds.

Wonderful!

Liked: They gave us to go breakfast bags., due to the Coronavirus, which was okay. I missed being in the pool, but due to the Coronavirus the pool was closed. The over all stay was nice!

Beware!

Liked: The hotel looks like it will be beautiful when construction is complete. The beds were comfortable.
Disliked: The hotel was undergoing an extensive renovation. We booked the reservation 2 1/2 months in advance. Plenty of time for them to inform us of the construction. We got there and found that the public areas had been completely gutted. Dirt and dust everywhere, uneven flooring, doors left propped open over night, making it not only cold and windy inside, but leaving the building unsecured. Amenities such as the indoor pool were unusable. ( Although if we wanted to trudge through our hotel, out the door, across a parking lot, around some hedges and into the next door hotel, we were allowed to use their pool). The room itself was filthy with construction dust everywhere. It was apparent that the carpet and vinyl had just been laid even though there was paint and drywall mud on them. The glue smell was awful and triggered allergies. As soon as we checked in Saturday night and saw the room and surroundings we asked to be refunded our money to go to another hotel. We were told that couldn't be done because we booked through the third party site, Booking.com. We were told this by an employee named Misti who was rude throughout the checking in process, before we had realized how extensive the issues were. At no time were we in anyway unpleasant to her, even commenting that we understood that she had nothing to do with the circumstances, and sympathizing with her position on the front line of unhappy guests! She was verbally and very obviously annoyed at our request for a second key card when only one was given for our 2 adults reservation! She also coughed and sneezed throughout check in with no attempt to cover her mouth or wash hands. This could go on and on but to get down to it, we immediately contacted booking with our concerns and got a message that we'd be contacted within 24 hours. We did get prompt responses from booking, but no help with the issues. We were told to deal with the manager who wasn't available till monday.!

Terrible

Liked: Facility was under construction and all torn up. First room we were in phone and shower did not work. Had to wait 20-30 minutes for desk clerk to show up to check us in. Second room phone still didn't work. Pull out sofa was twin size instead of double. Called down from room to front desk on cell phone for pillows for pull out, she had to check to see if she had any? Then she said she did and was holding them at the desk. My daughter had to go down and get the pillows. When she came back with pillows and pillow cases in hand that we had to put on, I was done. The pool was out of service, but you could freeze and use the hotel next door. Worst experience ever, didn't even bother to try breakfast.
