Comfort Suites Altoona

Good

We would use Comfort Suites...

Liked: Staff was kind, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Plumbing fixtures in bathroom were loose on the sink and the tub water spout. Toilet is very low to the floor. Shower curtain did not have a liner and was too short. So water from a shower would leak out onto the floor. Otherwise rest of the room was fine.

Our stay was alright but...

Liked: Pool was nice and the water temperature was comfortable.At breakfast the blueberry muffins were tasty.
Disliked: Breakfast was free, but minimal. Waffles stuck even if the iron was well sprayed with oil. Hot foods were scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, sausage. So if you don't like sausage . . . Coffee was weak, even the bold choice. There were ants crawling on our shoes when we got out of the pool. There were No towels in the Pool area, I had to go ask and the staff acted like I was a bother asking if I was sure there weren't any on the shelf. She then went and found me a couple. She later brought more towels in to place on the shelf.

Liked: The location, a safe stop to continue your journey to Canada.
Disliked: The shower drain was clogged, it was very disappointing to get ready to shower and see soapy water pooling around your feet because the drain wasn't working properly.

Very good

Liked: Friendly staff. Breakfast was good with enough options. Hotel location is quiet with nice views of the mountains.
Disliked: Bathroom lighting is dim unless you turn on the ceiling light which also turns the fan on. Cannot be used independently of one another.There was mold on the curtains in our room.
