Great stay with wonderful breakfast

Liked: Breakfast, grab bars for shower/toilet, shampoo/conditioner in shower. Just need to add a body wash.
Disliked: We were there for one week and supposed to get a clean room every 3rd day. NEVER got it which means no clean towels. We kept needing to go to front desk to request towels. I have no issue using a towel for one week but they never dried out. More towel racks would definitely help for this issue.

Liked: We arrived late but Abby was so wonderful. She gave us a friendly welcome and directed us to nearby restaurants and stores in the area. What we found funny was that she gave us our room keys which happened to be our Detroit 313 area code. We ask for a chuckle out of that. The rooms were super clean and the bed were so comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised at how much of a variety there was for breakfast and it all tasted so good. But your typical continental breakfast offered at most hotels. This was right up there with your higher end hotels. The entire staff from the desk, to the cleaning service, to the food prep service was top notch. DEFINITELY WILL STAY AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Disliked: The only problem was a little off our route home but it was so worth it. The drive was scenic so not complaining.

Good

Liked: The breakfast was very good. The location was convenient for my travel through the area to access what I wanted to do there (personal family history). Two queen beds were a nice bonus. At first, I did not think we would use both.
Disliked: I did not like the policy of not being able to cancel or change dates (initially, I picked the wrong dates. While traveling after a tiring day, I messed up.) Communication between the property and Booking.com was poor to almost non-existant. In the end, I stayed an extra night since I could not cancel without paying for the room, and as it turned out, the extra night was needed so I'm not left with bad feelings over it. As for the room, furnishings (except for maybe the beds - the most important part) felt very old. Some things were disappointing: no real shower curtain with a powerful flow resulted in a flooded floor (even into the hall - entry way). The fan did not work in the bathroom. Paint is peeling badly in that bathroom. TV, volume seemed to be limited, so for a chosen movie, we could hardly hear. A local restaurant did not honor a discount featured in the hotel room folder. Those ads could be outdated. Consider removing them.

Liked: Breakfast was very good; overall staff very friendly
Disliked: The room itself was "tired" and needed a renovation, but it was very clean. Check-in staff was a bit late to the desk and very aloof.

Disliked: need to be able to close the curtains so the street lights don't shine though and for more privacy

Liked: The breakfast was nice, rooms were clean and nice.
Disliked: We stayed there for the pool and free breakfast and the pool was closed the whole time.

Disliked: Pool was out of order. Did not make me aware till after check in
