Thankful For a Safe Stay!

Liked: I liked the size of our room, the comfort of the bed and that as I wiped down our room that housekeeping had actually wiped it down themselves for the most part. I liked that the tub and shower walls were already clean when I wiped them down and there was a clean shower curtain. I liked that there was a newly applied caulking around the tub and shower surround creases which showed some improvements being made. I also liked that upon check-out the smell of cleaner was in the air and that the lobby restrooms had been cleaned, the floors had been mopped and the dinning area was super tidy. I'm grateful as well for the friendliness of all the staff especially the one who handled my alert of a large puddle of unknown liquid on the floor of the elevator with a smile.
Disliked: I didn't like that when we checked in late about 8p.m. the hotel lobby and elevator floors needed to be mopped, both bathrooms needed attending (the men's toilet was stopped up) and my husband could barely open and shut the door. Once in the room one of the baseboards in our room was loose, the pull out sofa had a multitude of old and new stains, the white leather desk chair was filthy with visible stains prior to me wiping it down and lastly the carpet had so many large stains that I wondered if they came from pets. The one I dared to sniff did not smell but we wore our flipflops while on the carpet just in case. The tile was pretty clean when I mopped it so that was a plus. But what I don't like most is that the new photos of the hotel on the site do not match what the hotel looks like now. So people like me feel a bit deceived when we arrive. But kudos to the cleanup crew who made it right by Monday morning's check-out! Thank you!
